ABOUT THE BRICS ASSOCIATION
BRICS is an intergovernmental association uniting countries with rapidly growing economies. The group was originally founded in 2006 as BRIC, and in 2011, after the accession of South Africa, it received its current name. In 2024, the association significantly expanded. As of 2025, BRICS includes the following countries: Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa, Egypt, Ethiopia, Iran, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Saudi Arabia, Indonesia. In addition to full members, there is a "partner country" status. These include, for example, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Vietnam, and other states.
BRICS positions itself as a forum for political and diplomatic coordination for the countries of the "Global South." The key goals of the association are:
Cooperation: Strengthening economic, political, and social interaction between member countries.
Influence: Increasing the influence of developing countries in the global governance system, including institutions such as the UN, IMF, and World Bank.
Financial Independence: Creating its own financial institutions to reduce dependence on the US dollar. In 2014, the New Development Bank (NDB) was established to finance infrastructure projects, and the Contingent Reserve Arrangement (with a volume of $100 billion) was created for mutual liquidity support.
BRICS has evolved from an abstract economic concept into an influential intergovernmental association that seeks to shape a more balanced and multipolar system of international relations.

The Representation is a separate functional subdivision of the Consortium operating in the territories of the Central Asian states, including the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Republic of Tajikistan, and Turkmenistan.
Operates on the basis of:
- Decision on the establishment of the International Consortium WORLDBRICS, adopted on October 24, 2024, at the BRICS Summit in Kazan.
- Decision of the Board of Co-Chairs of the International Consortium WORLDBRICS No. 2025-11-06-001 dated November 6, 2025, "On the Organization of the Plenipotentiary Representation in Central Asia."
- Approved Regulations on the Plenipotentiary Representation of the international consortium WORLDBRICS in Central Asia for Nationalities and Interstate Relations.
Goals, Objectives, and Functions
Main goals: facilitating the strengthening of interstate relations and the development of interethnic dialogue in the region; implementing the mission and strategic goals of the Consortium; expanding the influence and strengthening the Consortium's position as a platform for multidisciplinary cooperation between BRICS and EAEU countries in Central Asia.
The Representation performs representative functions of the Consortium, organizes negotiations and events, coordinates interaction between Consortium members and their partners in the region, and provides information and advisory support for the Consortium's activities in the region.
Rights and Duties
The Representation has the right to represent the Consortium's interests in all state, international, commercial, and non-profit organizations in the territories of Central Asian countries, request and receive information, submit proposals on staff candidates and development projects.
The Plenipotentiary Representative is responsible for achieving the Representation's goals and fulfilling its tasks, is obliged to organize activities in accordance with the Regulations and decisions of the Consortium's governing bodies, ensure the formation of a professional team, and submit timely reports.

SIGNING OF AGREEMENTS

On November 6, 2025, at the WORLDBRICS Moscow office, in the Federation Tower "Vostok," an agreement was signed for the company "AsMadi Investment Center" to join the international consortium WORLDBRICS. General Director Madina Uisimbaevna Kalimbetova, by order No. 2025-11-06-001 dated November 6, 2025, was appointed to the position of Advisor to the Co-Chair of the International Consortium WORLDBRICS, Head of the Coordination Council for Analytical Strategy and Security within BRICS Marat Mazhidovich Islamov.

The First Assembly of WORLDBRICS clearly demonstrated the relevance of the open multilateral partnership format for solving practical tasks of digital transformation. KEY EVENTS AND DECISIONS
During the Assembly, keynote reports were presented by the Co-Chairs and Plenipotentiary Representatives of WORLDBRICS:
- O.A. Vikhman – on the consortium's development strategy and coordination of international projects;

On February 19, 2026, in Mumbai, on the sidelines of the BRICS CULTURE MEDIA FORUM, a landmark event took place – the signing of the Agreement on the accession of The Diplomatic Club India to the International Consortium WORLDBRICS.
The Diplomatic Club India is a prestigious platform uniting diplomatic experts, representatives of international organizations, honorary consuls, and leading business leaders. The club actively contributes to the development of public diplomacy, intercultural dialogue, and the strengthening of international business cooperation.
The accession of the Diplomatic Club to the consortium opens up new opportunities for WORLDBRICS in the BRICS chair country. The Club provides direct access to the expert and institutional community, including ties with Indian government structures and the diplomatic corps.
The partnership with The Diplomatic Club India is an important step in institutionalizing WORLDBRICS' presence in India and implementing the consortium's "soft power" strategy.
FINAL DOCUMENT
The culmination of the Assembly will be February 23, 2026, when the Resolution of the First Assembly of the International Consortium WORLDBRICS "Digital Integration of BRICS+: New Horizons of Multilateral Cooperation" will be signed in New Delhi.
The document will establish:
- The strategic vision and mission of the consortium;
- Decisions on the structure of the consortium, expansion of the composition of participants, and further institutional development of WORLDBRICS;
- The WORLDBRICS Roadmap - a five-year plan for the implementation of key infrastructure initiatives;
- The creation of regional representative offices in India, Central Asia, and Europe;
- The preparation of the WORLDBRICS Congress, planned for the fall of 2026 on the sidelines of the BRICS Summit in India .
The Resolution will be signed by the co-chairs of the consortium, founders, plenipotentiary representatives, and heads of organizations that joined WORLDBRICS during the days of the Assembly.
PREMIERE OF THE FILM "Taj Mahal... An Eternal Love Story" AT THE WORLDBRICS PLATFORM
On February 18, 2026, in Mumbai, as part of the cultural program of the BRICS CULTURE MEDIA FORUM and the First Assembly of WORLDBRICS, an exclusive presentation of the historical feature film "Taj Mahal... An Eternal Love Story" by the distinguished director Akbar Khan took place.
The film's premiere was a vivid testament to the consortium's commitment to developing cultural diplomacy as an integral part of the multifaceted BRICS+ partnership. Cultural heritage and humanitarian ties are just as important an element of integration as digital services and technological standards.
The screening of the film united Assembly participants, diplomats, and representatives of the Indian public, demonstrating that art can serve as a bridge between peoples.
The film's director, Akbar Khan, actively participated in the work of the First Assembly of WORLDBRICS. He presented a sculptural model of the Taj Mahal to the International Consortium WORLDBRICS. The valuable gift was received by the Co-Chair of the International Consortium WORLDBRICS, Head of the Coordination Council for Analytical Strategy and Security within BRICS, Marat Mazhidovich Islamov. In turn, for his contribution to strengthening cultural interaction, Akbar Khan was awarded a letter of gratitude from the International Consortium WORLDBRICS and gifts from representatives of the participating countries - Russia, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan.
DIALOGUE OF CIVILIZATIONS: MEETING WITH A REPRESENTATIVE OF THE ROTHSCHILD DYNASTY AT THE WORLDBRICS PLATFORM
On February 19, 2026, in Mumbai, as part of the cultural program of the First Assembly of WORLDBRICS, an informal meeting took place between the consortium's co-chairs and Élie de Rothschild Jr. — a writer, essayist, lecturer, and representative of the French branch of the famous dynasty. Élie de Rothschild Jr. is a unique figure for his family. Contrary to expectations, he did not follow the traditional path of family banking.
Today his areas of interest include winemaking, design, fashion, high technology, cryptocurrencies, and NFTs. In 2022, he published the book "The Rothschild Secret" (Le secret des Rothschild), in which he seeks to demystify the image of the family, showing that behind the dynasty's success lie not secret conspiracies, but pragmatism, discipline, and a family code.
The meeting with Élie de Rothschild Jr. marked the beginning of an informal dialogue that, through culture, art, winemaking, and fashion, will lead to the restoration of economic and political ties.
